Performance Exceeding 1300 Kilometers with a Single Tank from Nissan Qashqai e-POWER…
Nissan Qashqai e-POWER achieved a remarkable result in the long-range test carried out in Australia’s difficult road conditions. The model demonstrated the efficiency of hybrid technology in real driving conditions by traveling 1303 kilometers on a single tank of fuel.

Qashqai e-POWER, Nissan’s SUV model with electric-assisted driving technology, achieved significant success in the durability and efficiency test carried out on Australia’s Tasmania Island. The vehicle completed a distance of 1303 kilometers without refueling with its 55-liter fuel tank.

The test drive, which started with the Spirit of Tasmania ferry from the city of Geelong, was carried out on a wide route covering different regions of Tasmania. The journey, which included points such as Devonport, Tamar Valley, Scottsdale, Pyengana, Bicheno, Triabunna, Huon Valley, Queenstown, Strahan and Burnie, exceeded the originally planned distance and reached a total of 1303 kilometers.
Average Consumption Measured at 4.5 Liters
Throughout the test, Nissan Qashqai e-POWER achieved an average fuel consumption of 4.5 litres/100 kilometres. This result revealed the efficiency potential offered by the model, especially in long-distance use.
Driving track; While covering coastal roads, mountain passes, rural routes and variable weather conditions, the performance of the vehicle in different scenarios was also evaluated.
Tested on Challenging West Coast Routes
The winding and high-slope roads on Tasmania’s West Coast were the most striking parts of the test. Especially the stages between Hobart and Strahan provided important data in terms of both driving dynamics and energy efficiency.
The regenerative braking system used in the vehicle charged the battery by recovering the energy released during descents and contributed to reducing fuel consumption.
The Murchison Highway section, which was passed under heavy rain, and the old rally stages around Queenstown were also included in the test route.
Electric Driving Feeling, System That Doesn’t Require Charging
In Nissan’s e-POWER technology, the gasoline engine does not directly transfer power to the wheels. While the engine only works to generate electricity, driving is carried out entirely by the electric motor.
Thanks to this structure, users can enjoy a driving experience close to the character of an electric car and benefit from the advantage of long range without the need for external charging.
Emphasis on Efficiency in Real Use
At the end of the test, an average consumption of 4.5 liters/100 kilometers and a range of over 1209 kilometers were displayed on the on-board computer, while the total distance reached before the fuel was completely exhausted was recorded as 1303 kilometers.
This driving test carried out in Tasmania stood out as one of the remarkable examples of the fuel economy and range capacity of the Nissan Qashqai e-POWER in long-distance use.
