Stellantis took an important step in the development of new generation vehicle software by expanding its strategic technology collaboration with Applied Intuition. Within the scope of the partnership, the development of the STLA Brain platform is accelerated and the aim is to take the in-car digital experience to a new level.
Stellantis, one of the world’s leading mobility companies, continues to strengthen its technology partnerships within the scope of its software-focused transformation strategy. The company announced that it will expand its existing collaboration with Applied Intuition and work together on the development of the next generation STLA Brain platform.
The agreement is a continuation of the joint work carried out by the two companies within the scope of the STLA SmartCockpit project. The new collaboration aims to make the processes of developing, validating and integrating vehicle software into different platforms faster and more efficient.
STLA Brain Development Process Will Accelerate
Within the scope of the expanded partnership, Applied Intuition’s Vehicle OS, Cabin Intelligence and autonomous driving technologies will support Stellantis’ next-generation software architecture, STLA Brain.
The STLA Brain platform is being developed to simplify the integration between vehicle systems and to ensure that vehicles continue their development with software updates throughout their lifetime. Thanks to the new collaboration, it is aimed to accelerate software development, simulation, verification and commissioning processes.
A New Era in In-Vehicle Experience
Thanks to the partnership, Stellantis plans to offer new features to its customers faster and improve the in-car user experience. Improvements in software infrastructure are expected to provide drivers with a more fluid and personalized digital experience.
The company also aims to increase scalability by enabling the use of common software architecture across different brands and vehicle platforms.
Transition to Artificial Intelligence Supported Vehicles is Accelerating
Stellantis Engineering and Technology Director Ned Curic emphasized that speed, quality and scalability are critical in new generation vehicle technologies, and stated that the collaboration will make a significant contribution to software development processes.
Applied Intuition CEO Qasar Younis stated that the expanded partnership has brought the two companies to the forefront of artificial intelligence-defined vehicle technologies. Younis said that Vehicle OS and autonomous driving systems will begin to be used on a production scale in many brands and vehicle platforms.
Software-Focused Mobility Strategy
At a time when software is becoming increasingly important in the automotive industry, the collaboration between Stellantis and Applied Intuition is considered an important investment for the connected and artificial intelligence-supported vehicles of the future.
While the expanded partnership will accelerate the development of new generation mobility solutions, it will also contribute to users reaching a safer, smarter and constantly updated vehicle experience.
