Stellantis posted a net loss of €22.3 billion in fiscal 2025, the company’s first negative annual result since its founding in 2021. The manufacturer, which owns brands such as Jeep, Fiat, Peugeot, Dodge and Chrysler, attributed this deficit mainly to accounting value decreases of 25.4 billion euros related to the radical revision of its electric vehicle strategy. The company emphasized that it had overestimated the pace of the energy transition and was now prioritizing customers’ freedom of choice between electric, hybrid and internal combustion engine technologies.

This result reversed the profit of 5.5 billion euros made in 2024. Annual net revenue decreased by 2% to 153.5 billion euros, affected by unfavorable exchange rate effects and price reductions in the first half of the year; however, this decline was partially offset by higher volume and product mix. In the second half of the year, the company showed signs of recovery, with an 11% increase in consolidated shipments compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 2.8 million units.
