Production of the Chevrolet Spark EUV began in Brazil at the PACE site. General Motors has officially started production of the Chevrolet Spark EUV compact electric crossover in Brazil. Assembly started at the PACE (Planta Automotiva do Ceara) site in the state of Ceará. It’s the former Troller factory and is being developed by GM partner Comexport. The volume benchmark will be around 8.8 thousand cars by 2026.
The Brazilian assembly is cascading batches of Spark EUVs previously imported from China, and the site itself is positioned as a technology hub and not “just a conveyor.” Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was present at the launch event on December 3.

In terms of technology, the Spark EUV is largely based on the Chinese Baojun: one 75 kW (101 hp) electric motor and 42 kWh LFP battery, and the sources claim range is around 360 km on the NEDC cycle. If GM really brings the localization and price to a sufficient level, Spark EUV has a chance to become the people’s electric crossover in the country, not just for a while.
