Renault is bringing back the spirit of the iconic Renault 4 F4 Fourgonnette with a new commercial vehicle variant of the all-electric 4 E-Tech.Inside, the new van is all about utility. Renault has swapped the rear seats for a tough, thermoformed tray that includes a load-stop system and handy lashing hooks to secure your cargo. The design gives you a total cargo capacity of 1,045 litres, with an extra 55-litre space under the floor—perfect for stashing charging cables. You can carry a payload of up to 375 kg, and the maximum loading length is 1.20 metres. Renault also offers some great options, like a grid-style bulkhead to separate the passenger area from the cargo space, an anti-slip mat, and a function that lets you disable the rear doors and windows to keep your items safe. The new 4 E-Tech van comes with two battery options. The entry-level model features a 40 kWh battery and a single electric motor that produces 117 bhp, giving you a range of up to 191 miles (WLTP).If you need more power and range, you can upgrade to the 52 kWh battery model. This version boosts the power to 148 bhp and extends the range to 254 miles (WLTP).Both models come equipped with an 11 kW AC bi-directional charger and fast DC charging. The smaller battery can handle 80 kW DC charging, while the larger one supports 100 kW. With a fast charger, you can get from 15% to 80% charged in about 30 minutes. The new van, like the standard passenger version, is built at Renault’s ElectriCity facility in northern France. The special van conversions are handled by Qstomize, Renault’s expert division that works on a variety of custom vehicles. For now, the van is only available in France, with a starting price of €29,300 (roughly £25,400) before any subsidies. Renault is still considering whether to bring this retro-inspired van to the UK market.Sep 18, 2025
