Poker in the points zone In the Monaco Grand Prix, Racing Bulls had concluded its first weekend of the season with both of its drivers in the top 10, in that case with Liam Lawson in sixth position immediately followed by teammate Arvid Lindblad, in seventh. Three GPs later, at Silverstone, the same outcome was repeated, but in between the team from Faenza never missed the appointment with other races finishing fully in the points, for a total of four consecutive GPs among the ‘big ones’. One step away from Alpine The festive atmosphere therefore continues at Racing Bulls, which thanks to these continuous results has moved ever closer to Alpine in the fight for fifth position in the Constructors’ standings, with the two teams separated by only one point while awaiting the next Belgian GP: “Today was a fantastic result for the team – commented Lawson after the race – we had an excellent start and an exceptional race pace, so I am very happy with how everything fell into place. The updates we brought to Canada are We were first tested in Barcelona with the high-speed balance, and every weekend since then has been really positive. I am extremely proud of all the hard work put in by the team, which has allowed us to score points in both races. Challenging tracks await us, but I hope we can maintain this positive momentum.” The home GP Great satisfaction also expressed by Lindblad, who replicated his best result in F1 after the one already achieved in the Principality of Monaco: “It was a fantastic day and I’m really happy to have scored points here, in my first home Grand Prix. Racing in front of my fans made the whole weekend even more special. We had a good start, but after going alongside Max at turn 3, I encountered some problems with the set-up, which prevented me from maintaining the position. It was a a little frustrating, but once again a good team result and it’s great to keep this positive momentum going. The team has done a great job and I think since we introduced the update in Canada, we have an even better package, so huge credit to them.” While waiting for the Belgian GP, Alan Permane, Team Principal, also expressed the joy of the double points in the Racing Bulls garage: “Another almost perfect weekend for us. Congratulations to both drivers and the team; a weekend executed to perfection from every point of view. The strategy was impeccable, the pace excellent and we put ourselves in a position to maximize what was happening in front of us during the race. Everyone worked at a consistently high level, from the drivers to the team on track and, of course, to our fantastic factories of Milton Keynes and Faenza: it’s rewarding to see the hard work translate into results. We’ve had four rapid races, with another two before the summer break, and we’re looking forward to repeating this success at Spa.”
