Electric vehicle owners can now find charging stations suitable for their vehicles with Yandex Maps.

Yandex Maps has introduced a new feature for electric vehicle (EV) owners in Türkiye. Thanks to this feature, vehicle owners can easily find charging stations suitable for the technical specifications of their vehicles and get directions to these stations.

There is now a special section in the application for electric vehicle charging stations. In this section, it is possible to access detailed information about more than 10 thousand public charging points throughout Türkiye, especially in major cities and important highways. Service; It covers leading charging network brands such as Zes, Esarj, Voltrun, Trugo, Otopriz, Wat Mobilite, Sharz.

Users can view the charging stations closest to them when they tap the icon in the application; They can choose according to the type of connector they want, charging speeds (fast or slow) and the total number of charging points available at the station. Those who wish can also search for a charging station with the brand name they want using the search bar.

According to the latest data from the Automotive Distributors Association (ODMD), the electric vehicle market in Türkiye is booming. In the first seven months of the year, fully electric car sales increased by 146.9% compared to the same period last year, reaching 102 thousand 160 units. The market share of these vehicles also more than doubled, from 7.7% to 17.9%. When all electric vehicle types, including full electric, extended range and hybrid, are taken into account, the share of electric vehicles in the total automobile market has reached a remarkable 44.9%.

The feature of finding an electric vehicle charging station can be used via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as the Yandex Maps application on iOS and Android.
