Stellantis, one of the world’s largest mobility companies, has collaborated with Bolt to popularize driverless mobility. This collaboration, which supports the deployment of scalable Level 4 (driverless) vehicles using Stellantis’ AV-Ready Platforms™ technology, is an important milestone in Bolt’s goal of introducing 100 thousand autonomous vehicles on its shared mobility platform by 2035. Both companies share their commitment to the highest standards of security, reliability and cybersecurity in Europe. In this context, testing studies are planned to start in European countries as of 2026.
Stellantis, one of the world’s largest mobility companies that invests in all areas of mobility, announced that they have signed a cooperation agreement with Europe’s leading mobility platform, Bolt, to jointly research the development and deployment of Level 4 (driverless) autonomous vehicles for use in commercial operations across Europe. This collaboration will bring together Stellantis’ AV-Ready Platforms™ technology, especially the eK0 mid-size van and STLA Small platforms, with Bolt’s extensive mobility network. Bolt currently offers passenger transport services in more than 50 countries, including 23 EU member states, and aims to integrate these vehicles into its shared mobility platform, which will provide a fully autonomous, driverless travel experience.
The first production target is 2029!
Designed with a focus on flexibility and scalability, StellantisAV-Ready Platforms™ technology is equipped with advanced sensor packages, high-performance computing infrastructure and system redundancies. Thanks to this structure, it meets the highest security and reliability standards, while optimizing the total cost of ownership for service operators and becoming one of the most competitive solutions in the industry. Companies plan to start trial runs by commissioning test vehicles in European countries by 2026. The focus will be on creating a service infrastructure that meets Europe’s highest security and performance standards.
