I tested the Volvo XC90 on a long way with the B5 AWD diesel engine version just before the latest Pandemi. The taste of the usual classic XC90 syndrome was left on my palate.

When this location is exceeded and the energy level in the battery is not enough for the motor power requested by the driver with gas pedal, the internal combustion engine starts to work. If higher acceleration is required, maximum additional power is obtained from the electrical drive line. The vehicle also detects whether driving conditions require traction from all wheels and automatically activates if necessary.

The traction and electrical power from all wheels always work regardless of the charging of the battery. In hybrid mode, a hybrid indicator is displayed on the drive screen. The pointer in the hybrid indicator displays how much energy the driver demands with the accelerator pedal. In this way, the driver can see how much energy he consumes. Off-Road mode is a preferred driving mode of our Volvoxc 90 vehicle, especially in difficult road terrain conditions or water passes. When we select the off-road driving mode, the cool front and rear suspensions raise the vehicle more upstairs.

In Off-Road mode, the steering wheel is lighter, with the feature of four-wheel drive and hill descent control, low speed control function has been enabled. In Off-Road driving mode, when you drive with more than 40km speed, the vehicle automatically gets closer down to the previous state and goes out of the off-road mode. You can only use it in off-road mode up to 40km speeds.

Another driving mode is in AWD (4 -wheel drive) mode; The driving mode locks the tool to pull the whole wheel. The optimum distribution between the front and rear axle torque provides the best traction, stability and handling on slippery roads, for example on slippery roads or during pulling. AWD driving mode can always be used at any time, regardless of the charging of the battery. In AWD driving mode, both internal combustion engine and electric motor operate to drive four wheels, which can cause higher fuel consumption.

The Power mode means that the vehicle has more sports characteristics and faster response to gas. The vehicle is accelerated using all the energy of the electric and internal combustion engine without sacrificing performance in a short time. Gear changes become faster and more clear and the gearbox gives priority to higher traction gear. The chassis settings, steering and braking response are optimized in power mode to provide a harder shock absorber structure.

Finally, our vehicle has Bowers & Wilkins brand sound system. With this sound system, you can listen to high quality music in Volvo XC 90.

Volvo XC 90 has always been a different tool than other SUVs. This is one of the last points that can be reached in terms of security.
