London, UK – The All-New Nissan LEAF has won the prestigious Editor’s Choice Award at this year’s Autotrader Drivers’ Choice Awards.
The Editor’s Choice Award celebrates the model that has stood out above all the others that have been evaluated by Autotrader’s editorial team over the past year.
Erin Baker, Editorial Director at Autotrader, the UK’s biggest automotive marketplace, said: “The Nissan LEAF has been at the forefront of the electric revolution for more than a decade. It is quite simply a legend, and this latest version blends comfort, range and technology into a stylish package while also boasting massive sustainability credentials.
“We love the satisfying handling, smart interior design and curved touchscreen. Best of all, the new LEAF is assembled in Sunderland with 20 per cent renewable energy and the rest offset. It not only supports the British economy, but shrinks its carbon footprint further, making it one of the greenest cars you can buy in the UK. A legend indeed.’’
James Taylor, Managing Director of Nissan Motor GB, said: “Thank you to Autotrader for this significant recognition. It marks another milestone for the All‑New Nissan LEAF and underlines its importance in today’s electric vehicle landscape.
“As our latest 100% electric model, LEAF brings together Nissan’s most advanced design, technology and engineering – and as the world’s first third-generation EV, it builds on the pioneering legacy of LEAF as the original mass‑market electric vehicle.
“There is real momentum across our dealer network and among customers as excitement grows for the arrival of the new LEAF. The level of interest has been exceptional, and we are excited to see the car on roads across Britain very soon.”
Since its debut in 2010, LEAF has sold more than 700,000 units worldwide. Like its predecessors, the new third-generation model is built in the UK at Nissan’s Sunderland plant. It marks the start of a fresh chapter for the famous nameplate, having been re-designed and re-engineered from the ground up to meet the needs of modern EV customers, while remaining true to its innovative roots.
With a range of up to 386 miles (WLTP) and a suite of advanced features including Google built-in, dimming panoramic roof, 3D tail-light design, and flush-mounted door handles, All-New LEAF is packed with technology. It’s available in four trim levels, Engage, Engage+, Advance and Evolve, with prices for the 75kWh model starting from £32,249 (including £3,750 electric vehicle grant).
