The words of the Red Bull driver
Isack Hadjar a year ago at Albert Park he was very fast in Qualifying but in the Race he ended up in the barriers immediately losing control of the car on the formation lap. Who would have thought that 12 months later he would show up in Melbourne as a Red Bull driver? “I wouldn’t have imagined it immediately after the episode, but already two hours later yes, what matters is how you metabolize and overcome certain events”said the French driver on the eve of the Australian GP.
“I have no goals – he added – just finishing the race will be important and it won’t be easy for anyone as reliability will definitely be a theme with these new cars. Normally I would say the aim is to score points, but being a Red Bull driver I would say the real aim should be podiums. Everything will be decided in the second half of the season, in the first the important thing is to get to the finish line.”
Regarding those who believe that Melbourne could be a track that will be more suited to Red Bull than Bahrain, Hadjar responded as follows: “I don’t see why this track should be more suitable for us, the driving sensations won’t be great, we crash almost immediately in a straight line“.
