London, 5 February 2026CHERY UK registered 2,127 cars* in January 2026, Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) figures show. With sales starting in September 2025, this takes CHERY’s first five months of trading in the UK to 7,644 cars*, securing a 1.48% market share in January*.
The figures, independently verified by the SMMT, highlight the growing popularity of CHERY’s three-car model line-up. This includes the CHERY TIGGO 7 and CHERY TIGGO 8, two SUVs which combine distinctive styling, family-focused practicality and exceptional value, alongside the flagship CHERY TIGGO 9 Super Hybrid, which only began sales in January.
Supported by a growing network of 58 UK retailers, today’s announcement follows the success of CHERY UK’s inaugural Retailer Conference, which brought partners together from across the country and highlighted the network’s central role in the brand’s 2026 growth strategy. The event also showcased key brand initiatives, including the recent Get Carried Away campaign with British power couple Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy, celebrating effortless everyday luxury in the flagship CHERY TIGGO 9 Super Hybrid.
Backed by parent company Chery International – China’s largest vehicle exporter for 23 consecutive years – CHERY is fast becoming a recognised name among British drivers.
Together with its growing UK retail network, CHERY continues to build momentum through a compelling vehicle line-up, a comprehensive 7-year/100,000-mile warranty, an 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty (where applicable), and RAC Home Start as standard.
Farrell Hsu, CHERY UK Country Director, said: “2026 is set to be a defining year for CHERY in the UK. Our focus is firmly on building long-term success through stronger brand recognition, meaningful customer relationships and exceptional aftersales support. As our model line-up and retailer network continue to grow, we are committed to ensuring every customer experiences the quality and service standards that will underpin CHERY’s future in the UK.”
Announced earlier this week, CHERY UK has been added to The Motor Ombudsman’s growing New Car Code portfolio. This long-standing, comprehensive Code sets best practice guidelines for carmakers in the supply of new vehicles and associated warranty products and services to consumers. CHERY customers also benefit from robust aftersales support across the expanding UK retailer network, including the brand’s 7-year/100,000-mile vehicle warranty, 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty, and RAC roadside assistance for the first year, subject to annual servicing.
The CHERY TIGGO 7 and CHERY TIGGO 8 are available now, with prices starting from £24,995 OTR** and £28,545 OTR** respectively. The CHERY TIGGO 9, offered in one comprehensively equipped flagship specification, is priced from £43,105 OTR**, with premium paint the only optional extra.
