On TV and on the track The newly arrived Cadillac is the great protagonist of the last few hours in F1. The American team, after presenting its livery to the world through a spectacular television commercial aired during tonight’s Super Bowl, decided to cut corners and get on track in Bahrain. The pre-season collective tests are scheduled for February 11th to 13th, but the team directed by Graeme Lowdon has chosen to already taste the asphalt of Bahrain to carry out a private shakedown session to which every team is entitled. This is the first public release of the new livery, given that in Barcelona the American team had run an entirely black car with the sole exception of the Cadillac emblem that stood out on the rear of the car. In Spain there were also some youth problems for the newly arrived team which had completed only 164 laps in three days. Only Williams – which hadn’t really shown up at the Circuit de Catalunya – did less well – Aston Martin, which only took to the track for the last day and a half of work. It is therefore understandable how these shakedowns could also be important for Cadillac in an attempt to make up for lost time.
Cadillac, not just presentation: already on track in Bahrain for the shakedown
