Borusan Otomotiv Motorsport (BOM) Karting Team left its mark on the weekend with its superior performance in the fifth leg races of the 2025 MOTUL Türkiye Karting Championship. In the races held at Izmit Körfez Circuit on November 1-2, BOM Karting pilots once again proved their strength in the championship by reaching the first place among the teams with a total of six podium places in five different categories.
Young talent Zayn Sofuoğlu, who took to the track in the Micro category, achieved one of the most remarkable performances of the weekend with his high concentration and flawless driving. Sofuoğlu, who left all his rivals behind and was the first to see the checkered flag, took the first place with his impressive pace. Competing in the mini category, Süleyman Cem Karakömür became an important part of the race for the top throughout the weekend with his consistent driving and finished the weekend in first place with a strong performance.
In the junior category, Demir Sağım came first with his impressive performance, while his teammates Oğuz Marangoz finished in third place, Efe Ayhan in 8th place and Miraç Gültegin in 11th place.
In the Senior category, which is the most competitive part of the championship, Ayşe Çebi saw the checkered flag by coming first in all races (heat 1, heat 2, prefinal and final) from the qualifying rounds to the final. Çebi also achieved the “fastest lap” rating and managed to collect the maximum points that can be obtained in one leg (101 points). Competing in the same category, Batuhan Emir Saraç finished the weekend in 11th place with his consistent driving.
In the Master category, Muratcan Eğilmez finished in second place with his consistent pace and experience, adding another podium to the team’s success. His teammate Can Özdoğan also finished the weekend in 4th place with his strong performance.
With the results obtained, BOM Karting Team once again proved to be one of the most consistent teams in the 2025 season and rose to a strong position in the race for the top before the 6th leg of the championship.
2025 MOTUL Türkiye Karting Championship will continue with the 6th leg races to be held at TOSFED Körfez Karting Track on 22-23 November.
