Volkswagen is aiming to capture this segment between mainstream and premium models.The new Touareg is expected to be built on the SSP platform, which will serve as the foundation for the company’s future electric vehicles. This will allow it to incorporate technology from Audi and Porsche, including modern drive systems and electronics. Preliminary data suggests the model could launch after the electric Golf, likely around 2027–2028.The large SUV format will remain, as this class accounts for up to 80% of the segment.
