I tested the chassis structure, performance and Traction+ traction system of the Fiat Egea Cross Street Traction+ Diesel 1.6lt 130hp latest version model, including long-term aggressive use in all kinds of road conditions.
Fiat Egea Cross Street Traction+ Diesel is close to being a domestic car in Türkiye and is the most durable and reliable vehicle I have ever used. The cross-chassis structure and bodywork durability were of course better than other Far Eastern and Chinese versions.
Thanks to the All Season tires offered as standard in the Limited version of the Egea Cross, even better handling is provided in difficult road conditions. Featuring the Traction+ logo on its exterior design, Egea Cross’s Traction+ equipment overcomes all road conditions such as snow, rain and mud on difficult roads.
The Traction+ feature in the Fiat Egea Cross model detects the wheel with low traction. It provides effective braking to the wheel that is spinning and transfers the engine torque to the wheel that can effectively grip. It prevents skidding by directing the brake and engine power and allows you to continue on the road safely.
In my opinion, it may be wrong to evaluate this vehicle only with the Traction+ feature in the Fiat Egea Cross model. Yes, I bought the vehicle to try the Traction+ feature. However, although I have driven and tested hundreds of vehicles in my life, I have never driven an Egea or an Egea Cross. But I can say that my opinion about this vehicle and the Cross model has changed a lot. I think the vehicle is great for Türkiye.
The Fiat Egea Cross Traction+ performance and chassis structure, ease of use and strong brake structure of the vehicle managed to impress me. Especially the transmission and gear shifts worked smoothly. The vehicle is spacious inside and outside and has a very muscular appearance. It’s not a small vehicle. Practical. The trunk is quite good.
By the way, the fuel consumption of the diesel version is quite successful. I haven’t been to the gas station in town for a week.
