Modern Solid design in full effect: The Epiq is the first Škoda series model to incorporate all elements of the brand’s new design language
First Škoda on the MEB+ platform: Front-wheel drive, a 475 litre boot and a range of up to 267 miles (430 kilometres)
Most affordable fully electric Škoda model: positioned as an entry point to the brand’s BEV range, with pricing in many markets comparable to the combustion-engine Kamiq, offering customers even more freedom of choice
Advancing electromobility: Epiq will be a cornerstone of Škoda’s strategy to double its all-electric portfolio by 2026

Mladá Boleslav, 9 February 2026 – Škoda Auto will unveil its all-new, all-electric Epiq in the first half of this year. As a key model in the dynamic entry-level segment, the city SUV crossover will make electric mobility even more accessible and attract new customer groups to the brand. It will also be a cornerstone of Škoda’s strategy to double its all-electric portfolio by 2026. Combining compact dimensions with a spacious interior, the Epiq takes full advantage of the new front-wheel drive MEB+ platform, which ensures low weight and high energy efficiency. With a range of up to 267 miles (430 km) and fast charging of up to 133 kW, it is designed for convenient everyday use. Advanced driver assistance systems, including Travel Assist 3.0, are available, along with features typically found in higher segments, enhancing road safety and comfort.
Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Škoda Auto, says: “Škoda is making electromobility even more accessible with the Epiq, as it becomes the third model in our growing all-electric portfolio. This smart SUV crossover marks a significant expansion of our range, combining attractive design, generous space and affordability to appeal to entirely new customer groups. With pricing in many markets comparable to the combustion-engine Kamiq, customers gain true freedom of choice in terms of both powertrain and vehicle style. The Epiq builds on Škoda’s strong momentum in electric mobility. In 2025, the Elroq ranked as the second best-selling BEV in Europe, while the Enyaq secured seventh place, giving Škoda two models in the European BEV Top 5 and placing the brand fourth overall among fully electric vehicles. With the Epiq, we are set to continue and accelerate this success story.”
Oliver Stefani, Chief Designer at Škoda Auto, adds: “The Škoda Epiq is a milestone model in the evolution of Škoda’s design. It is the first production model fully incorporate all elements of the new Modern Solid design language. The minimalist concept combines sophisticated details that enhance the SUV’s appearance, combining distinctive style with practicality. For the first time, a new T-shaped light signature is used on a Škoda production car and will become the signature lighting feature of other models in the future. The sustainable interior has also been completely redesigned, with clean lines that evoke a feeling of trust and cosiness.“
An electric everyday companion: A car for the city and beyond at a competitive priceThe Škoda Epiq expands the successful range of all-electric Škoda SUVs, joining the Elroq and Enyaq family. As a new entrant in the important urban crossover segment, it will make access to the world of electric mobility more affordable and appealing to an even broader customer base. With pricing in many markets comparable to that of the combustion-engine Kamiq, the brand offers customers freedom of choice in both powertrain and vehicle style. Moreover, the Epiq will be a cornerstone of Škoda’s strategy to double its all-electric portfolio by 2026. Positioned as the brand’s smallest battery-electric vehicle, it will represent the entry point to Škoda’s electric range, while the forthcoming seven-seater Peaq will further strengthen the portfolio at the upper end.
The Epiq is part of the Volkswagen Brand Group Core Electric Urban Car family. Alongside the Cupra Raval, ID.Polo and ID.Cross, it forms part of a cross-brand product campaign within the Volkswagen Brand Group Core, under which the Group’s brands will launch entry-level models for electric mobility. The Brand Group Core makes targeted use of synergies and economies of scale to offer particularly attractive electric cars in Europe, both technically and in terms of price.
Small but nimble: Škoda Epiq in a nutshellThe crossover SUV combines compact dimensions, similar to those of its combustion-engine counterpart, the Kamiq, with plenty of interior space. The dimensions and agility provided by the electric drive make it easy to manoeuvre in dense city centres, narrow streets and on winding roads. Different battery sizes and a power range from 85 to 155 kW give customers a wide choice of options to suit their needs. A range of up to 267 miles (430 km) provides flexibility for everyday use. With DC charging, the most powerful version can be recharged from 10 to 80% in just over 20 minutes.
Modern Solid design: A combination of robustness, practicality and individualityThe Škoda Epiq is the brand’s first production model to incorporate all elements of the new Modern Solid design language. The imaginative camouflage design, which the car now bears ahead of its world premiere in the first half of this year, allows a closer look at the Modern Solid design, including sophisticated aerodynamics with a low drag coefficient of cx = 0.275.
The side lines evoke a sense of confidence, and the minimalist approach emphasises the car’s functional design. The highlighted, O-shaped air intakes in the front bumper incorporate active shutters that improve aerodynamics. In addition to its stylistic appeal, the distinctive front section – the so-called Volcano line – also has a practical function: it conceals discreetly integrated Air Curtains to further reduce air resistance.
The robustly shaped rear bumper clearly emphasises the SUV character, while the unpainted section extending to the rear door sill helps protect against damage both in city traffic and when loading luggage. The aerodynamically optimised wheels range in size from 17 to 19 inches.
New light signature: LED lighting as standard with T-shaped headlightsThe distinctive front end with the Tech-Deck Face front mask is complemented by a completely new T-shaped light signature for the headlights, which is also reflected in the rear lights. The Škoda Epiq comes with LED headlights as standard, while the top-of-the-range Matrix-LED version with 12 segments features more powerful light sources for both low and high beams, can mask oncoming traffic and includes four modes for city, road, highway and bad weather driving.
Modern Solid interior: Minimalist and spacious, one of the largest luggage compartments in classThe interior of the Škoda Epiq continues the same flowing, uncluttered look which, together with the horizontally oriented dashboard and ambient lighting strips, accentuates the feeling of spaciousness and cosiness. The minimalist, angular style further reinforces the robust character of the Modern Solid design language. Driving data is displayed on a 5.3-inch screen in the driver’s field of vision, familiar from other Škoda electric cars. A 13-inch central display is standard, enabling easy control of infotainment, navigation and all functions and settings.
There are three Design Selections to choose from, using 100% recycled PES for the seat textiles. Studio is the entry-level option. Loft is available in shades of grey or mint green, featuring a new embossed pattern and Techtona, a synthetic leather alternative, on the dashboard and door panels. The top-of-the-range Suite selection features seats with embossed Suedia and Techtona upholstery in Tabora Brown, with the same material used on the dashboard and door inserts. Both Loft and Suite include ambient lighting.
Thanks to the new MEB+ platform, the Škoda Epiq offers one of the largest boots in its class. The basic volume is 475 litres, making it 75 litres larger than that of the Kamiq, and can be increased to 1,344 litres by folding down the rear seats. The interior provides almost 26 litres of additional storage space. There are also new Simply Clever features, such as an easily accessible compact bag for securing charging cables, attached to the top-tether hooks in the boot. These complement well-known classics such as the umbrella in the door, the parking ticket holder and the ice scraper made from recycled materials.
New MEB+ platform with front-wheel drive: Two battery types and fast chargingThe Škoda Epiq is the brand’s first model built on the MEB+ platform developed for small electric cars. Its main features are a front‑wheel‑drive layout and an adequately sized traction battery. This allows interior space to be maximised, weight to be reduced and energy consumption to be improved.
The car is powered by two different versions of the new APP290 electric motor in three power variants, combined with two different traction batteries. The Epiq 35 variant offers 85 kW, while the more powerful Epiq 40 provides 99 kW, both paired with a battery with a total capacity of 38.5 kWh. The top-of-the-range Epiq 55 offers 155 kW with a 55 kWh battery.
The smaller 38.5 kWh battery is an LFP (lithium‑iron‑phosphate) design, offering the advantages of longevity and low weight. The 55 kWh battery has the same dimensions and similarly low weight, but thanks to its NMC (nickel‑manganese‑cobalt) chemistry, it provides greater energy density, higher capacity and therefore a longer range. All three variants can be charged with 11 kW AC power, while DC charging is available at up to 50, 90 and 133 kW, depending on the variant. The most powerful version can be charged from 10 to 80% capacity in just 23 minutes.

Cutting-edge technology and safety: Advanced Assisted Driving 3.0 systemThe new MEB+ platform relies on a combination of independent suspension, with a proven and robust MacPherson front axle and a lightweight, space-efficient twist-beam rear axle. All wheels are equipped with disc brakes. A new feature is the integration of the ESC stability control system and brake booster into a state-of-the-art mechatronic unit. The MEB+ platform adopts advanced active safety features from higher-end models on the MEB platform, with significant improvements and several completely new additions for even greater safety and driving comfort. The Epiq features Travel Assist 3.0, the most advanced set of driver assistance systems available in Škoda vehicles. It includes Advanced Adaptive Lane Assist in both longitudinal and lateral directions, and across the entire speed range. Furthermore, it can respond to traffic lights and road signs, including “Stop” signs, with automatic stopping, and supports daily online updates of traffic-sign data for the most accurate vehicle response in heavy traffic. The Top View panoramic camera system includes four cameras that fully cover the vehicle’s surroundings and display the car from a bird’s-eye view for precise manoeuvring in confined spaces, including 3D visualisation. Another new feature is the Cross Assist 2.0 system, which uses radar sensors in the corners of the bumper to assist when entering blind intersections and warns of approaching vehicles or cyclists. The car can be equipped with up to seven airbags, including a central airbag between the front seats.
