In China, the battery-powered electric vehicle (BEV) sales continued to grow in July, while Plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) were forced. China’s PHEV market has experienced the lowest annual result since June 2020 due to the difficulty in the delivery of new models in July.

PHEV TABLE Tightening
Monthly results tightened the peak of the annual PHEV graph in July. BYD Song Plus maintained its position at the summit, while the leadership against the Byd Qin Plus decreased by almost half.
Song Plus sold 134,213 units with a market share of 4.6 %in the first seven months of the year. However, with 128.412 delivery, Qin Plus was only 5,801 back, holding 4.4 %of the market.
