Best wishes, champion Today Michael Schumacher celebrates his 57th birthday. This is an inevitably special anniversary, like all those following the now sadly well-known date of 29 December 2013, the one in which the German champion had his tragic skiing accident on the snows of Meribel. As happens every year on this date, social networks were flooded with messages, thoughts and photos dedicated to the seven-time F1 world champion, showing once again how great the affection of the world of motorsport and not just for the Kaiser is still great. Among the more ‘institutional’ posts, those from Ferrari and Mercedes could not be missing, the two car brands which – in different periods and in different ways – have marked the career of the German champion. “The day a legend was born,” wrote Maranello’s official social account, publishing a photo of Schumi. “Happy birthday, Michael. A true F1 icon and an important part of our history”, echoed the official social channel of the Brackley team. Finally, a thought could not be missing from the official F1 channel, which wanted to remember Kerpen’s phenomenon using one of the most recurring images of his career: celebrating, on a podium, after winning a Grand Prix dressed in red. Happy birthday, Schumi.
