The disappointment after Miami The Haas team principal, Ayao Komatsu, wanted to sharply and decisively deny the rumors that emerged after the last GP in Miami, according to which the Japanese manager had argued with Esteban Ocon, author of an unsatisfactory start to the season. According to these rumors, Komatsu’s disappointment was such that it led to a possible separation from the French driver even before the conclusion of the championship. No basis Known for his frankness, the 50-year-old Japanese rejected these indiscretions on the occasion of the press conference reserved for team principals, without sparing a certain anger at the falsity of certain news: “Honestly, I don’t know where this story came from, I have no idea – he explained – this Brazilian journalist was quoted, but I have no idea. No basis, pure and simple rubbish. If anyone wants to write this kind of bullshit, go ahead, but damn it, Can this be called journalism? I have no idea, it’s terrible. What are they trying to achieve? It’s crazy. Addressing the journalists present directly, Komatsu went on to add further thoughts on the matter: “Did any of you hear me say something like that? Yes or no? It’s unbelievable. I talked to Esteban this morning, but, as far as I’m concerned, there’s absolutely nothing to defend on our part. Part of the article says that, apparently, I had a problem with him in Miami. Where did this story come from? I didn’t even have a discussion with Esteban in Miami. It’s amazing how these b****es come blown out of proportion and then, since no one controls the source, everyone writes about it. How can you define this journalism? It’s just fucking gossip.” Komatsu furious Having gone into a rage over what was reported, the Haas team principal closed with another comment on the rumors that would have indicated the promotion of Yuki Tsunoda as official driver to replace Ocon: “It’s a complete waste of time. Esteban and his manager are worried, but Esteban knows that we didn’t have any argument in Miami, at least not about anything specific. This morning we were talking about it smiling. ‘What the hell is this about?’ So I said I would completely clarify the situation for everyone, because it’s total bullshit, complete nonsense. That’s something we don’t need, right? I believe it was written in Japanese. I didn’t read what this Brazilian journalist wrote, so how inaccurate is the Japanese translation? I have no idea. A lot of Japanese sites really want to make up some bullshit, like “I’d like to get Yuki” or something like that. They have no basis, I don’t pay attention to it, but then some French journalists pick them up. Holy shit, if you’re a French journalist, what are you trying to do to your country’s pilot by picking up stories as if you’re trying to gain exposure? Are you trying to discredit your French driver? What is the purpose? They’re just bitches. If you write an article, you check your sources, right?
