Karsan Achieved a Turnover of 330 Million Euros in 2025
Karsan, the world’s technology-focused mobility brand in new generation public transportation, increased its turnover by 11 percent to 330 million Euros in 2025. Karsan, which generated 220 million Euros of its turnover from electric vehicle sales, increased its exports by 43 percent to 197 million Euros. Aiming to continue its growth in Europe, Karsan plans to start driverless operations in autonomous public transportation in 2026.

Stating that Karsan e-JEST and e-ATAK models have not lost the leadership in their segments in the European public transportation market, Karsan CEO Okan Baş said, “Turkey is the production base of Europe in bus & midibus production. Karsan carried out 80 percent of the electric minibus and bus exports from Türkiye to Europe between 2019-2025.” Emphasizing that they aim to continue their growth in Europe by increasing electric sales in 2026 and to become one of the top 5 players in Europe in the next five years in the medium term, Okan Baş said, “Of course, we are aware that our presence in the current markets is not enough to achieve this. In this direction, we will expand into new markets. There are northern countries that we will focus on in 2026. We are not present in the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Germany. We will first start our structuring in these markets. In addition, Spain and Poland, where we entered last year We will also increase our strength in these markets. We aim to expand our electric vehicle park in Europe by over 30 percent to over 2,800 units. Autonomous mobility is among our strategic focus areas. We will focus on Europe with the 8-meter Autonomous e-JEST and America with the 6-meter Autonomous e-JEST. On the autonomous mobility side, we have started our work to completely remove the safety driver from the vehicle in the third quarter of 2026. “We aim to start driverless operations. We will add a new electric vehicle to our product range by the end of 2026. We are constantly strengthening our presence by both expanding our product range and accelerating our development in technology,” he said.
Karsan, which played a leading role in the transformation of public transportation in the world with its vision of being “One Step Ahead in the Future of Mobility”, left behind another successful year. Karsan, which has gained strong momentum with its electric and autonomous vehicles in public transportation, continues to strengthen its presence in the world with its vehicle park reaching 27 countries. The brand, which has made a significant contribution to the transformation of public transportation with over 2,100 electric vehicles, has increased its target in 2026.
Karsan e-JEST and e-ATAK continue to lead in Europe!
Stating that they completed 2025 with a turnover of 330 million Euros, Karsan CEO Okan Baş said, “We increased our total turnover by 11 percent compared to 296 million Euros in 2024. Electric vehicles constitute 220 million Euros of this figure. Thus, we increased our electric vehicle turnover by 59 million Euros. Our electric vehicle turnover, in which we experienced a significant growth of 37 percent, also constituted 67 percent of our total turnover. Last year.” “We increased our export turnover by 43 percent to 197 million Euros and increased our EBITDA from 32 million Euros to 54 million Euros last year,” he said. Stating that, as Karsan, they focus on 3 technologies: electric, autonomous and hydrogen, Okan Baş continued: “We have been present in the market with our 6-8-10-12 and 18-meter full electric product range since 2021. We managed to move up one step in the European urban electric public transportation market, which grew by 39 percent last year. In 2025, we increased our market share in Europe by 0.5 points to 5 percent. Thus, we increased our market share in Europe by 0.5 points in the rankings.” We rose from 8th to 7th. During this period, e-JEST became the leader of the electric public transportation minibus market with a 30 percent share, while e-ATAK became the leader of the electric midibus class for the first time in 2020. Karsan e-JEST has been maintaining its leadership for 6 years without leaving any rivals, with a 26 percent share in 2025. “It became the leader of the size electric bus market in Europe.”
