Charles Leclerc recorded the best time overall and even in the long run he was very fast and consistent. The Monegasque driver declared at the end of the tests that everything that needed to be tested had been tested in Ferrari, so the question is whether and to what extent his opponents hid.
Lewis Hamilton in an interview granted to Corriere della Sera underlined that what emerged in Bahrain must be taken with a pinch of salt: “Little emerged from the tests, everyone hid with loads of petrol. I called Toto Wolff at Mercedes and Zak Brown at McLaren to try to understand what they understood but I didn’t get any results”Hamilton explained.

This team has everything to win, we have to finish the job together with the fans. Easier said than done but I came to Ferrari because I believed in it and I still believe in it.”
