Fiat Doblo Will Be Produced in Bursa Again: The Legendary Light Commercial Rolls Off the Line in the Third Quarter

Tofaş is preparing to produce Fiat Doblo, one of the iconic models of the light commercial vehicle market, in Türkiye again. The new generation Doblo, which will be put into production in the Bursa factory in the third quarter of the year, draws attention with its segment leadership and aims to further increase the brand’s power in the market with its return to domestic production.

Tofaş, one of the well-established manufacturers of the Turkish automotive industry, decided to produce Doblo, Fiat Professional’s model that gave its name to the light commercial vehicle segment, in Bursa again. While production is planned to start in the third quarter of 2026, the return of the model to domestic production is considered an important development for both the sector and the brand.
Doblo Maintains Its Segment Leadership
Fiat Brand Director Altan Aytaç stated that Doblo made a strong start to 2026 and announced that the model reached sales of 10 thousand 507 units in the first four months of the year. Aytaç stated that this figure means an increase of more than two times compared to the same period last year.

Emphasizing that they are the leader in the minivan segment with a 23.7 percent market share, Aytaç said, “It is a source of great happiness and pride for us that the class leader Doblo will be produced in Türkiye again. We believe that the sales and logistics advantages provided by domestic production will contribute significantly to our growth.”
Domestic Production Move Increased Fiat’s Power
Pointing out that domestically produced models played an important role in Fiat’s growth in the light commercial vehicle market, Aytaç said that the brand gained strong momentum with the contribution of the Scudo and Ulysse models.

Stating that while the light commercial vehicle market grew by 9 percent in the first four months of the year, Fiat sales increased by 69 percent in the same period, Aytaç noted that they expect this growth to accelerate further with Doblo’s resumption of domestic production.
More than 600 Thousand Sales in 26 Years
Fiat Doblo, which rolled off the production line in Türkiye for the first time in 2000, quickly became one of the most important models of the light commercial vehicle market. The model, which has been offered for sale with different body types and versions to date, has reached more than 600 thousand users in the 26-year period.
The production of Doblo ended in Bursa in 2023, and the model was later offered for sale as an import through the K9 platform developed under the umbrella of Stellantis. The sixth generation Doblo, which was facelifted in 2024, will now be produced again in Türkiye.
Aytaç said, “Doblo is returning home after a three-year break. It is extremely valuable for us that this iconic model, which pioneered the formation and growth of the minivan segment in Türkiye, will be produced in Bursa again.”
Leadership Continues in Medium Commercial Vehicles
Fiat maintains its strong performance in the medium commercial vehicle segment. The brand, which sold 3 thousand 171 units in the first four months of the year with its Scudo and Ulysse models, reached a market share of 26.1 percent. Thus, one in every four vehicles sold in the segment carried the Fiat logo.
An Award-Winning and Iconic Model
Fiat Doblo has achieved many important successes in the international arena. The model won the “International Van of the Year” award in 2006 and 2011, while the “What Van?” award was given in England. Awards, it was chosen as the “Light Commercial Vehicle of the Year” in 2016, 2017 and 2018 consecutively.
Doblo, which has been one of the most preferred light commercial vehicles in Türkiye for years; It appealed to a wide range of users with its high roof, long chassis and 7-seat options, as well as different versions such as Cargo, Combi, Panorama and Pratico.
The sixth generation Fiat Doblo, which will be produced again in Bursa, is expected to further strengthen the brand’s leadership claim in the light commercial vehicle market, with the advantage of domestic production.
