LONDON, 16 JANUARY, 2026:The Collecting Group will return to Rétromobile in Paris at the end of this month with a curated selection of top-tier collector cars, marking seven years since the launch of the Collecting Cars brand at the show in 2019. The display not only celebrates a significant anniversary, but also highlights the type of rare, desirable, and enthusiast vehicles that have become synonymous with what is now one of the world’s most influential auction companies.
The timing of this showcase at Rétromobile (28 January to 1 February 2026) also provides an opportunity to highlight a year of record results for Collecting Cars. In 2025, the platform achieved an all-time annual sales record of more than $320 million (€275 million), beating 2024’s total by more than 12%, driven by live auctions, off-market sales, and the introduction of Sealed Bids – a new format for high-value confidential transactions.
The platform saw some truly exceptional cars sell last year, including three world-first public sales of the Ferrari SF90 XX Spider (the most expensive public sale on the platform in 2025), Porsche 992 S/T, and Aston Martin V12 Speedster, to name just a few. Collecting Cars can confirm that over 4,500 consignments found new homes worldwide, and the average price of cars sold increased by 11% on the previous year, rising to approximately $83,000 (€71,000). The platform’s growth across the EU was especially strong, with the volume of cars sold in France up 50%, Italy up 44%, and Germany up 37%.
Taking centre stage on Collecting Cars’ stand at Rétromobile will be an extraordinary Porsche 911 GT3 R Rennsport, a modern motorsport special that sits at the very pinnacle of the marque’s motorsport-inspired builds. One of just 77 built, and designed exclusively for the most committed collectors, the Rennsport houses a naturally aspirated 4.2-litre flat-six producing 620PS (611bhp), as well as an impressively low weight of just 1,240kg.
Alongside it will be a Porsche 964 Carrera Cup, a car revered for its motorsport pedigree and analogue purity. As a factory-built competition model from one of Porsche’s most celebrated generations, the 964 Cup has become increasingly sought after by knowledgeable enthusiasts.
Other consignments will be revealed nearer the opening date, and together the cars will showcase the Collecting Cars marketplace at its best: rare modern machinery, iconic supercars with cultural significance, and historically important competition cars.
Edward Lovett, Founder and CEO of The Collecting Group, said: “Returning to Rétromobile with these cars feels like a fitting way to mark seven years since Collecting Cars began. They reflect the eras, genres, and quality of presentation that thrive on our platform, and following a record year for us in 2025, this is the perfect time to highlight our incredible reach across global markets”.
Not only will Collecting Cars be seeking new owners for the incredible cars on display; it will also be seeking out new talent during the show. A second exhibition stand will focus solely on a targeted recruitment drive for Collecting Cars, with information about the exciting and diverse career opportunities available with the company, and the team will be happy to speak to prospective applicants during the event.
Highlighting continued growth across the wider group, the team from sister platform Watch Collecting will also be on hand during Rétromobile, showcasing a fantastic selection of sought-after timepieces, and demonstrating the reach of The Collecting Group brands. Watch Collecting was launched in 2021 and quickly established a reputation for delivering outstanding value for both buyers and sellers. Last year, it passed the milestone of 6,000 watches sold, generating over $130 million (€115 million) in transaction value to date.
As The Collecting Group looks ahead, its focus remains on building upon this momentum, continuing to curate exceptional consignments, expanding its presence worldwide, and delivering trusted and engaging experiences for buyers and sellers.
Collecting Cars and Watch Collecting will be present across two stands at the show. The main stand, located within Pavilion 7, Aisle 7.3, Stand G156 is complemented by a second, recruitment-focused stand, also in Pavilion 7, Aisle 7.3, Stand J078. The Collecting Group will be exhibiting from 28 January to 1 February 2026.
