The new Audi A6 Avant balances sportiness and comfort with advanced chassis technologies. While the adaptive air suspension adjusts the body height and suspension character according to different driving conditions, the optional all-wheel steering system (rear axle steering) can be preferred in both Avant and Sedan body types and increases maneuverability at low speeds and provides more stability at high speeds. Audi drive select further enriches the driving experience by allowing the driver to determine the vehicle character according to his personal preferences.

The new Audi A6 Avant stands out with its high driving comfort and balanced driving character, especially on long journeys. Offering a “business class” travel experience in the premium upper class, the model supports this character with advanced chassis technologies.
Technologies such as adaptive air suspension, all-wheel steering system and Audi drive select offered in the model; By adapting to different driving conditions, it offers both higher agility in urban maneuvers and greater stability at high speeds. The feeling of precision, balance and control that defines Audi’s driving character becomes even more evident in the new A6 Avant with the harmonious work of these technologies.
Audi DriveSelect
Along with the optional adaptive air suspension, the chassis character of the new Audi A6 Avant is managed through the Audi drive select system. This system adjusts the body height, steering character and power transmission system depending on the driving mode. While the vehicle gains a firmer and sportier character in Dynamic mode, Comfort mode offers a softer and more comfortable ride for long journeys.

Five-link suspension architecture made largely of aluminum is used on the front and rear axles of the new Audi A6 Avant. While the front axle has a subframe that is rigidly connected to the body, the rear axle is integrated into the body via a hydraulically connected subframe. This structure increases both driving comfort and handling performance.
Adaptive Air Suspension with Damping Control
The optional Adaptive air suspension works with electronically controlled shock absorbers on four wheels, constantly adjusting both body height and suspension character. The system automatically balances the vehicle load, ensuring that the body always remains at the same level.
Lift Function
The Lift function, developed for difficult road conditions, raises the vehicle body by 20 mm compared to the normal driving level. This function provides safer progress, especially on snowy or rough surfaces, and can be used at speeds up to 85 km/h.
For sporty driving
In Dynamic mode, the ride height is lowered by 10 mm, resulting in a sportier driving character. The vehicle body is automatically lowered to reduce air resistance at high speeds.
Improved Steering Response
The progressive steering system used in the new A6 Avant also responds more directly thanks to improved chassis components. Thanks to more rigid axle connections, reinforced suspension elements and optimized steering system, clearer road feedback is provided to the driver. This contributes to the vehicle offering both a more agile and more balanced driving character.
All Wheel Steering
The optional all-wheel steering system, combined with the quattro four-wheel drive system, significantly improves driving dynamics. This system is offered as an option in the New Audi A6 Avant as well as in the Sedan version. At low speeds, the rear wheels can turn up to 5 degrees in the opposite direction of the front wheels; This reduces the turning circle, making urban maneuvers easier. At medium and high speeds, the rear wheels turn up to 2 degrees in the same direction as the front wheels, providing higher stability and a more sensitive driving character.
