F1, Cadillac at its debut Cadillac is getting ever closer to Formula 1. The American team today presented the livery with which it will take to the track for the first time ever together with the other Formula 1 cars, the Montmeló shakedown scheduled for 26 to 30 January. General Motors President Mark Reuss unveiled the team’s special livery at the group’s new global headquarters, Hudson’s Detroit Building, while the final colors of Cadillac’s first Formula 1 car will be unveiled on February 8 in a Super Bowl commercial. The livery was described by Cadillac as “a bold yet disciplined design, created specifically for the needs of pre-season development,” adding that “in Formula 1 test liveries traditionally help disguise aerodynamic details before competition, much like camouflaged prototypes in the automotive world, while still expressing the brand’s identity.” The photos Here are the photos of the Cadillac for the Montmeló shakedown. “Our new test livery celebrates Detroit’s styling heritage and the power of the Cadillac team, while maintaining our design secrets,” said Reuss. “The Barcelona test is just the beginning – we can’t wait to share our official livery with fans around the world next month.” “Team Cadillac is committed to innovation both on and off the track,” added Dan Towriss, team CEO. “The collaboration between TWG and General Motors allows us to rethink convention and present the team in bold new ways. The debut of our race livery during a worldwide championship telecast challenges convention and brings Cadillac to a global audience. Together with this special livery designed by GM Design Studios, we pay homage to automotive heritage while looking to the future as we prepare for the 2026 season.”
