BMW has updated the specifications of its new electric crossover iX3 ahead of its US market launch. The xDrive50 version now boasts a range of 434 miles (about 700 km), an increase of 34 miles over the previous estimate. The model is built on the modern Neue Klasse platform with an 800-volt architecture. It features a 108 kWh battery and supports ultra-fast charging at up to 400 kW.According to BMW, just 10 minutes of charging adds roughly 280 km of range, and a 10 to 80 percent charge takes about 20 minutes. These figures put the iX3 among the longest-range and fastest-charging electric crossovers on the market. The model still retains BMW’s traditional strengths: comfort, handling, and advanced digital technology. First US deliveries are expected within the coming months.Official sales launch is set for May, with customer deliveries starting in autumn. The base price will be around $60,000, and buyers will have a wide range of options.
