Hyundai’s myQ integration marks another step in the blurred boundary between connected vehicle and connected home Hyundai Motor America has partnered with Chamberlain Group to integrate myQ Connected Garage technology into Hyundai vehicles, allowing drivers to monitor and control compatible garage doors via the vehicle’s touchscreen. The feature connects to Hyundai’s Bluelink connected services platform and is available on select 2024 to 2026 model year vehicles in the US market. The integration supports remote garage door monitoring and closing with geofencing, which enables automatic opening and closing functions based on the proximity of the vehicle. Valet mode disables the service to protect access to the home, and drivers can control multiple doors at different properties from a single myQ account. “Hyundai myQ Connected Garage seamlessly integrates simple and secure smart access technology into drivers’ daily routines. Our partnership helps more drivers easily stay connected to the safety of their homes, providing convenience, confidence and peace of mind on the road,” added Kiel Fitzgerald, Vice President of Sales Strategy and Operations at Chamberlain Group. The service works over a cloud connection without requiring any hardware installation in the vehicle and is compatible with LiftMaster, Chamberlain and Craftsman garage door openers. A three-month free trial is available before standard subscription terms apply.
