The humanity of the champion The British Red Cross, in a video released on its social channels, published images of Lewis Hamilton’s visit to Jordan, which took place last month, in which the Formula 1 champion met with the Jordanian and Palestinian Red Crescent teams, to demonstrate his complete support for the population of Gaza.
Hamilton helped prepare the aid to be sent to the victims of the devastation caused by the war in the Gaza Strip, which at the beginning of the year had exceeded the terrifying figure of 70 thousand dead and 170 thousand injured (data from local health authorities) by 7 October 2023. Hamilton’s appeal Lewis Hamilton has always been attentive to social causes and his gesture will not go unnoticed, given the popularity enjoyed by the Ferrari driver.
Accompanying the video is an appeal from the seven-time world champion: “The Red Cross and Red Crescent have been supporting people affected by the conflict in Gaza every day for two years. I have seen with my own eyes how every box and package is carefully prepared, with teams working 24 hours a day to deliver aid to those who need it most. But it is painfully clear that this flow of aid is largely insufficient. The population of Gaza desperately needs a constant and unimpeded flow of life-saving aid, as well as essential medical care. The Red Cross and Red Crescent movement never stops. Whenever there is a humanitarian need, it is there, working with communities, ready to step up efforts and committed to restoring hope.
