The new suits of the Ferrari drivers Ferrari warms up its engines in view of the presentation of the highly anticipated SF-26, the new single-seater for the regulations of this year’s technical revolution which will be revealed to the world next Friday 23 January. While waiting to unveil the new Ferrari, the Maranello team shows the new fireproof suits that will accompany Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton throughout the season. Tracksuits which, obviously, are red in color but which, like every year, reveal some interesting trends from the details which could then also be reflected in the color of the new Cavallino single-seater. The presentation video In the video in which Ferrari presents the new suits for the 2026 drivers, Lewis Hamilton is seen, framed from behind, walking after exiting an elevator, to go to what appears to be a set set up specifically for a photo shoot. A few moments later Charles Leclerc enters the frame, greeting his teammate by calling him with the two initials “LH”, before the two new 2026 suits are actually shown. The most immediate detail to grasp is the even more evident presence of white, which gains more space compared to the suits of the 2025 season, suggesting the possibility that there will also be some white details on the SF-26. The collar of the suit is also white for the first time since 2016, with three white stripes, a thicker central one and two thinner lateral ones, which run vertically from the arms to the ankles. Confirmed, then, is the choice to write the driver’s surname in full on the shoulders, a bit like what has been seen for many years on footballers’ shirts: a trend inaugurated in 2024 which also continues with the new tracksuits made by the German company Puma. Finally, on the chest, in the centre, remains – not particularly appreciated by everyone – the blue circular logo of the HP sponsor. However, it is not certain that Ferrari will necessarily have white details on the livery, although in recent seasons the fact that there were white or black inserts on the suit on the drivers’ racing clothing has always provided reliable clues of the main color alongside the traditional red on the livery. It hasn’t always gone this way: in 2018, for example, on the Ferrari suits of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen there was a white vertical stripe quite similar to the one we see today on the 2026 suits of Hamilton and Leclerc, without the final livery giving too much space to white.
