Maserati has officially introduced its new MCPURA super sports car at the Turin Auto Show. The model, which follows its first appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, was shown in both coupé and cabrio versions. The cabrio, named Cielo, and the coupé were displayed in Piazza Reale with a new Ai Aqua Rainbow finish. The Turin debut marked the car’s national premiere in Italy and highlighted Maserati’s ongoing focus on performance and design. The Maserati MCPURA Maserati Maserati The MCPURA is based on the Maserati MC20 and comes in two versions: coupé and Cielo. Both use a carbon fiber monocoque chassis to keep weight under 3,300 pounds. Power comes from Maserati’s 630-horsepower Nettuno V6 engine, which uses pre-chamber combustion technology. With its weight-to-power ratio of 5.1 pounds per horsepower, the car is positioned among the most competitive in its segment. Key features include “Butterfly” doors on both models and, for the Cielo, a retractable electrochromic glass roof. The car was shown in Ai Aqua Rainbow, a new paint developed through Maserati’s Fuoriserie customization program. Production takes place at Maserati’s historic Modena facility, where painting and personalization are also carried out. Turin Auto Show Maserati Maserati The Turin Auto Show, now in its second edition, ran from September 26 to 28, 2025. It is staged as an open-air event in central Turin and is gaining attention as a platform for both Italian and international automakers. Highlights included a parade on September 27 that began at the Reggia di Venaria and ended in Piazza San Giovanni. Maserati owners drove models such as the GranTurismo and MC20, with television presenter Cristina Chiabotto joining the event in a GranCabrio.
