An exciting new future for the ground-breaking MG4 EV is underway. The all-new MG4 EV Urban has arrived in the UK and the original, critically-acclaimed MG4 EV returns with even stronger technology, enhanced cabin quality, performance and driving range.
The new and extended choice of MG4 EV models means customers can drive everything from the efficient, super-spacious and competitively-priced MG4 EV Urban Comfort right through to the most potent edition of the performance-focussed MG4 EV XPOWER.

The spacious, supremely practical MG4 Urban EV delivers truly affordable electric driving. The Comfort Standard Range starts from just £23,495 whilst the Comfort Long Range is priced at £25,495. The MG4 EV Urban range is completed with the generously equipped Premium Long Range, available from £27,995.
The 2026 MG4 EV gets even stronger with MG firmly focussing on key attributes UK customers admired about the first car, notably value for money and driving quality. The range starts with the Premium Long Range which is available from £29,995 – a £2,750 reduction from the outgoing model. The Premium Extended Range, priced from £32,995 delivers an improved 338 miles of range from a single charge (WLTP combined) making it the lowest priced car with the longest range in the UK today.

Excellent space with MG technology for everyone
MG4 EV Urban excels when it comes to space for passengers and luggage, outperforming other EV hatchbacks and across nearly all key areas. It is a versatile, stylish MG hatchback with plenty of space to spare.
Passenger comfort is a standout feature of the MG4 EV Urban. There is generous head room for all occupants (front and rear) with 997mm at the front and 957mm at the rear. Available leg and knee room for second row passengers is particularly generous compared with many competitors with 984mm leg room and 107mm knee room. Additionally, a rear aisle width of up to 315mm provides rear occupants with plenty of space as does class-leading shoulder and leg room.
Lots of comfortable space for occupants is complemented by an abundance of storage spaces. MG4 EV Urban offers 30 storage spaces through the cabin, a greatly superior number to other cars in its class.
The all-new MG4 EV Urban also delivers when it comes to available boot space. Driving the MG4 EV Urban
The Comfort Standard Range, Comfort Long Range and Premium Long Range utilise MG’s new and advanced front wheel drive E3 Platform.
New battery choices have been selected for the MG4 EV Urban including a 43kWh Standard Range (Comfort only) and a 54kWh Long Range battery (Comfort and Premium). The Long Range battery combined with a highly-efficient thermal management system and lightweight body structure, delivers up to 258 miles* of electric driving range, meaning the MG4 EV Urban can comfortably travel well beyond the city streets.
Using rapid public charging the 43kWh battery can achieve a 10-80 per cent charge in just 28 minutes and the larger 54kWh battery in 30 minutes. The MG4 EV Urban also features an advanced heat pump as standard which greatly improves its efficiency in colder weather conditions.
Safety is assured with MG4 EV Urban having already achieved Euro NCAP’s highest 5-Star rating. The advanced battery pack features ultra safe cells and has been exhaustively tested and exceeds international standards. Active warning and cooling systems and thermal isolation technology are all incorporated. MG4 EV Urban offers a total of 7 airbags and 90 percent of the body is made from high-strength or ultra-high strength steel.
MG4 EV Urban offers 5 drive modes to meet the driver’s personalised requirements and also seamlessly adapt to road and weather conditions. Snow, ECO, Standard, Sport and Custom modes are available. Custom lets the driver tailor power, steering and pedal response for a personalised drive.

Modern and technology-led MG styling
The MG4 EV Urban offers a different exterior appearance to the MG4 EV with MG’s designers creating smoother lines and surfaces, whilst showcasing the car’s technical capabilities.
At the front there are powerful and slim LED headlights with the turn signal and daytime running lights integrated into the overall design. The signature split at the bottom of the dark grille offers a sporting look and is inspired by the MG Cyberster.

The MG4 EV Premium Long Range utilises a 64kWh battery offering mated to a 140 kW electric motor, offering an impressive 280 miles of electric motoring with a rapid charging time (10-80 percent) of just 25 minutes. Performance from the single, RWD motor remains engaging with 0-62mph achieved in 7.5 seconds.
The Premium Extended Range is well able to meet the demands of drivers regularly undertaking longer journeys, featuring a larger 77kWh battery with a potential range of 338 miles*. Even with more energy storage capacity the rapid charging time (10-80 percent) is 40 minutes. with an uprated 180 kW of power, the Premium Extended Range delivers a sharp 0-62mph sprint time of 6.2 seconds.
The potent MG4 EV XPOWER is there for the driving enthusiast. This dual motor, AWD MG can sprint from 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds, has a maximum power output of 320KW and an impressive 600Nm of torque. The MG4 EV XPOWER remains one of most accessible high-performance electric vehicles on the market, with the 2026 version now available from just £33,995, a £2,750 reduction from the outgoing model.
All three models retain the sharp, highly-distinctive exterior styling that has made the MG4 EV stand-out from the crowd. But for 2026 they feature all-new 18” alloy wheels with a more sporty design. A new rear spoiler seamlessly blends with the body profile and accentuates the dynamic appearance. Bringing even more vibrancy to the MG4 EV, three new colours are introduced Ealing Green, Cosmic Silver and Piccadilly Blue.
Inside the cabin of the MG4 EV there is a more premium and contemporary ambience with a raft of new technology and comfort features, many of which feature inside the advanced MGS5 EV and new MGS6 EV.
Drivers will benefit from a new 10.25” LCD Driver Display screen featuring five major functional zones. Content can be customised via the central console screen and also switched via customisable steering wheel controls. A new HD 12.8” centre touchscreen is also introduced with even more clearly defined functional zones. The card-style layout is even more user-friendly with the most commonly used features available on the home screen. Wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto is standard across the range, as is the innovative MG Pilot custom feature.
