We tested the new Hyundai TUCSON Hybrid 1.6 T-GDI 215 PS Elite HEV 4×2 AT version on long distances and kilometers. TUCSON’s interior has been completely redesigned with impressive displays and advanced technology. The carefully designed interior combines spaciousness and practicality, offering a relaxing feeling of spaciousness. Comfortable rear seats and ample legroom further enrich a unique travel experience for everyone.

The large and functional luggage volume, which reaches 620 liters with the seats upright and 1,799 liters with the rear seats folded, also offers extra flexibility thanks to the 40:20:40 split and foldable seats. Perfectly positioned for comfort, the new armrest provides ideal access to the wireless charging area and cup holders in the redesigned center console.

The elegantly curved panoramic display creates a timeless technological look with two integrated displays, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. The infotainment system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features, allowing you to mirror your apps, music and phone content to the big screen.

The 1.6-liter T-GDI gasoline engine and 47.7 kW electric motor increase the total system power to 215 PS. The 1.49 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery that powers the system is transferred to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The FCA-JT system automatically brakes when it detects that the vehicle in front or a pedestrian or cyclist in the direction of travel is braking suddenly. Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist uses two radar sensors located in the lower rear bumper to warn the driver of traffic in the blind spot.

The DOHC Turbo GDI (Direct Injection Turbo) 1.6 T-GDi (Hybrid) engine produces 215 horsepower. The length of the vehicle is 4,510 mm x width 1,865 mm x height 1,650 mm and its wheelbase is 2,680 mm. While the front of the vehicle has an independent Mac Pherson type suspension with coil springs and stabilizer bar, the rear suspension system includes a multi-link coil spring and stabilizer bar.

Taking modern aesthetics to the next level with its sharp surfaces and dynamic lines, TUCSON brings together a design equipped with smart technologies that will turn every ride into an unforgettable experience. It did not tire us at all, especially on the long intercity highways we traveled during our test drive.

Especially with its hybrid engine option and modern, high-level renewed interior equipment, the new Hyundai TUCSON promises a unique driving experience to its driver and passengers, while also managing to offer comfort and safety together. For this reason, we especially need to congratulate the Hyundai Tucson hybrid model.

The vehicle’s interior comfort, driving stability, leather seats, comfortable and versatile functionality and upper glass roof are no longer just details. The transmission system is very successful in controlling the vehicle’s driving modes and gear shifts. The vehicle offers a very wide portfolio with its long and wide structure and storage areas designed in the interior of the vehicle.

The new Hyundai Tucson offers advanced driving techniques that enable you to drive the vehicle more safely and efficiently in many road driving conditions, including sports driving mode, thanks to its 1.6-liter T-GDI gasoline engine and manual transmission option with F1 pedals on the steering wheel.

In addition to these techniques, the Tucson hybrid model, which offers driving safety and comfort to the driver and passengers as an SUV, is truly a complete family and a role model for the successful Hyundai that I recommend.
