According to reports, Tesla’s spring 2026 update (version 2026.14+) will bring a fully interactive navigation map to the rear passenger displays of its standard vehicles, functional while the car is in motion. This feature was previously exclusive to the Tesla Robotaxi.Until now, rear displays in Teslas have primarily served for media control, climate settings, and static route displays. The new interactive map transforms the back seat into a navigation hub—the same passenger-focused interface Tesla is developing for its autonomous fleet. The update is still in early rollout stages. Currently, it’s installed on only a small number of vehicles, but wider availability is expected in the coming weeks. Owners of Model S, Model X, Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck will be eligible for the update.
