Production of new Tesla Model S and Model X vehicles has been halted, with individual orders for these electric cars suspended in early April.Tesla CEO Elon Musk has now revealed that only a few hundred Model S and X cars remain in inventory worldwide. He advised interested buyers to place their orders immediately for these remaining vehicles. Most of these few hundred Model S and Model X cars scattered globally are equipped with the Plaid configuration.Launched in 2012, the Model S revolutionized the electric vehicle market with its rapid acceleration, over-the-air updates, and luxurious interior that surpassed traditional sedans.The Model X followed in 2015, capturing attention with its falcon-wing doors and seven-seat cabin. Together, the Model S and Model X demonstrated that electric vehicles could be both environmentally friendly and desirable automobiles.Their departure frees up production space at Tesla’s Fremont factory for the mass production of the humanoid robot Optimus. According to Elon Musk, Optimus will make the most significant contribution to the company’s future growth.
