Shell&Turcas has once again proven the company’s power in the global market by maintaining its first place in the Mineral Oils Export category for 10 years in the Stars of Export Awards organized by the Istanbul Chemicals and Products Exporters Association (İKMİB).
Shell, the global market leader in lubricants for 19 years[1]Shell&Turcas Lubricant and Grease Production Facility, operating in Derince, Kocaeli, has been operating uninterruptedly since 1963. In addition to engine oils for the automotive industry, its portfolio also includes industrial oils and greases. A significant part of these products are produced in Derince. Today, it exports to more than 80 countries around the world with its production capacity at high quality standards and a portfolio of more than 400 products.
Shell&Turcas Lubricants Türkiye Corporate Sales Director Can Ayvalıoğlu said the following in his evaluation of the success achieved:

Innovation and sustainability-oriented investments play a decisive role in Shell&Turcas’ growth journey. Derince Lube Oil and Grease Production Facility, whose production capacity has been significantly increased with the investments made in recent years, draws attention with its digitalization applications and efficiency-oriented production processes. Solutions implemented in energy efficiency and carbon management issues minimize the environmental impacts of the facility and strengthen its operational performance.
The facility, which had a goal of becoming 50 percent carbon neutral by 2030, reached this goal in 2022. At the same time, it prevents approximately 500 tons of carbon emissions per year by meeting 25 percent of its electricity consumption from solar energy. The remaining electricity consumption is provided entirely from renewable sources with internationally valid renewable energy certificates.
