The updated LADA NIVA Travel began to arrive at dealers in “live” batches: St. In St. Petersburg, the first vehicles appeared in the Alarm-Motors LADA salon. There are two versions in the first delivery – middle Life and Joy before the maximum. The dealer has already placed the first pre-orders and 15 more updated SUVs are expected here by the end of December. For NIVA Travel, the main changes are important from a technical perspective. According to the dealer, the SUV has received over a hundred improvements, and the main improvement is the new 1.8-liter 8-valve engine. Maximum torque increased by 24 Nm, which will add confidence on both asphalt and off-road roads. At the same time, a reduction in specific fuel consumption of 3-30% is announced, depending on the driving mode. The transmission was adapted to the new engine and a new anti-roll bar appeared in the suspension; This affected handling and smoothness.
Denis Tsepelev, Development Director of Alarm-Motors Group of Companies, associates the changes with the growth of dynamics, reliability and comfort, and also predicts that the role of the model in the LADA line will increase: according to the company, the share of NIVA Travel may increase from the current 11% to 13-14%. According to him, the updated SUV will be of interest to both fans of the model and young families and outdoor enthusiasts.
The updated NIVA Travel enters the market in five trim levels: Classic, Comfort, Life, Enjoy and Techno. The base Classic includes all technical modifications, driver airbag, steering, power windows, heated mirrors, ABS and ERA-GLONASS. Comfort adds a passenger cushion, air conditioning and heated front seats.
