2025 Year Review: Renault Trucks strengthened its position in the challenging market
In 2025, the continued contraction in the transportation market following the previous year has led to an overall decrease in sales volumes on a global scale. In contrast, Renault Trucks maintained its strong position in Europe and grew in international markets. In 2025, Renault Trucks’ total vehicle sales reached 55,011 units. The distribution of these vehicles was as follows:
By Regions
Europe: 48,362 vehicles (-4%1)
Other international markets: 6,649 vehicles (+3%)1)
According to tonnage
Medium and heavy segment vehicles: 36,842 vehicles (same level as 2024)
Light commercial vehicles: 18,169 vehicles (-10%)1)
electric vehicles
Total: 2,612 electric vehicles
Electric medium and heavy segment vehicles: 800 vehicles (-20%)1)
Electric light commercial vehicles: 1,812 vehicles (+190%)1)
Strengthening market share in Europe
In Europe, Renault Trucks increased its market share in the 16 tonnes and above segment (EU30, including Switzerland, Norway and the United Kingdom) by 0.3 points to 9.4%.

Market share increased in the majority of European countries. Particularly notable growth was recorded in Ireland (14.6%; +1.3 points), Spain (14.1%; +0.4 points) and Luxembourg (13.1%; +7 points). This positive picture was supported by the impact of large-scale orders. For example, 285 trucks delivered to Waberer’s in Hungary increased its market share in the country by 1.8 points to 12.2%.
In France, Renault Trucks completed the year with a 29.8% market share (+0.1 points).
Other international markets: areas of stable growth
Renault Trucks increased its volume in other international markets by 3% compared to 2024, with sales of 6,649 vehicles in 2025.
It achieved record performance in the United Arab Emirates, increasing its market share to 15% (+6 points). In Qatar, 90 trucks were delivered to Lavajet within the scope of the privatization of waste collection services in Doha city and a 7-year service contract was signed.
Renault Trucks strengthened its position in Türkiye by maintaining a stable market share of 6.4%. The delivery of 100 Renault Trucks T 480s to Karınca Logistics and Hilal Trans in 2025 was among the remarkable fleet investments of the year.
Growth momentum continued in the African continent. In Tunisia, sales volume doubled and market share increased to 22% (+7 points). In Sub-Saharan Africa, sales increased by 25% thanks to affordable financing solutions and the durability of heavy-duty vehicles especially suitable for mining operations.
Second-hand trucks: strategy to extend the life cycle of vehicles
Renault Trucks sold 6,588 second-hand trucks in 2025 (2024: 7,127 vehicles). This decrease was mainly due to the decrease in the supply of second-hand vehicles.
On the other hand, Renault Trucks continues to develop solutions to extend the lifespan of trucks. In this context, it benefits from the reuse opportunities at the Second Hand Truck Factory in Bourg-en-Bresse and the Second Hand Truck Plant in Lyon.
Electromobility: strong growth and expanding product range
Renault Trucks recorded a 60% growth in sales of 2,612 electric vehicles in 2025 compared to 2024 (1,628 units).
