Renault has secured three major accolades at the Company Car & Van Awards 2026, with the Renault Master E-Tech electric being named overall ‘Van of the Year’, the Renault Master continuing its success by retaining the ‘Large Van of the Year’ title, and the Renault 5 E-Tech electric winning ‘Small Car of the Year’.
This latest recognition reaffirms the breadth and strength of Renault’s car and van line-up for fleet and business users, with judges highlighting the Master’s class-leading versatility and the appeal of Renault’s latest electric vehicles across both commercial and passenger car sectors.

Awarding the overall ‘Van of the Year’ 2026 title to the Renault Master E-Tech electric, Andrew Walker, Editor of Company Car & Van, said: “Whilst we love the Master diesel, it’s the electric model that really shines. The E-Tech is light and easy to drive, comes very well equipped and offers plenty of safety features. It’s also comfortable in the cabin and offers an excellent payload. Most importantly as we found out, if you drive sensibly, a real-world driving range of 220 miles is possible, enough perhaps to convince operators to go electric. The 2026 ‘Van of the Year’ is the Renault Master.”
Confirming that the Master’s dominance continued into the large van sector, Walker added: “Retaining its title, the Renault Master is also our ‘Large Van of the Year’. Offered with loadspaces of 11 to 14.8 cubic metres, with plenty of model options and with electric and diesel drivetrains, there’s a Master just for you. Inside you get premium feel materials and plenty of useful cabin storage space. It also comes with excellent connectivity and up to 20 driver assistance systems, making it class-leading.”
As these awards prove, the latest-generation Master continues to be built around flexibility for business users. Offered in multiple lengths, heights and loadspaces, the Master line-up spans panel van, platform cab and specialist conversions, ensuring suitability across a wide range of trades and operators. All versions benefit from advanced connectivity, high levels of standard equipment and a comprehensive suite of driver assistance technologies designed to support safety, comfort and efficiency in daily use.
The Renault Master range starts from £33,500 plus VAT for diesel versions, while Master E-Tech electric models are priced from £37,500 plus VAT after PiVG.
The Renault 5 E-Tech electric completed Renault’s trio of wins after it was named ‘Small Car of the Year 2026’, with its design, technology and value proving decisive.
Andrew Walker continued: “The Renault 5 is a small electric car with attitude. Retro-inspired looks are an unmitigated success. Handling and driving are very good. On board tech and safety is impressive. It’s priced competitively. Low BIK. We could go on. Perhaps our easiest decision. The Renault 5 is our ‘Small Car of the Year’.”
The Renault 5 E-Tech electric brings a distinctive, retro-inspired design to the small car segment while delivering impressive on-board technology, advanced safety systems and engaging driving dynamics. Now available with the full £3,750 Electric Car Grant and with prices starting from just £21,495, it offers fleet drivers an electric vehicle that balances style, efficiency and everyday usability, reinforcing Renault’s position at the forefront of the small EV market.
Responding to Renault’s success, Justin Costello, Head of Fleet, Renault UK, said: “These awards reflect how clearly our car and van ranges are aligned to the needs of fleet operators. From the Master continuing to set the benchmark in the large van sector to Renault 5 redefining what a small electric car can offer, the focus has been on delivering products that work in the real world – on cost, usability, technology and efficiency.”
