Pagani Utopia Roadster went on a special journey of more than 1,500 kilometers in Europe to test the Cyber Tire technology developed by Pirelli. The drive, which started from the Pagani Automobili headquarters in Modena, stopped at the Bosch Engineering facilities in Germany and was completed at the Pirelli headquarters in Milan.

Pagani Utopia Roadster is among the first models to be equipped with Cyber Tire technology as standard. Thanks to the system, tires turn from passive components that only provide grip into active sensors that produce real-time data. Data obtained from tires; It increases driving safety and performance by working integrated with ABS, ESP and traction control systems.

Horacio Pagani, founder of Pagani Automobili, stated that not only speed but also confidence and driving feeling are priorities in the hypercars they develop, and said that Cyber Tire technology strengthens the communication between the vehicle and the asphalt.
Bosch Engineering CEO Johannes-Joerg Rueger stated that the collaboration with Pirelli reveals the potential of smart tire technologies. Pirelli CTO Piero Misani also emphasized that Cyber Tire turns the tire into a digital platform that produces data.
The system developed by Pirelli will not be limited to performance cars only. The company aims to expand Cyber Tire technology to different models in the premium and prestige segments. Technology integrated with artificial intelligence-supported sensor systems will also provide an important infrastructure for autonomous driving and advanced driving support systems in the future.
Pirelli also invests in road infrastructure monitoring projects within the scope of connected vehicle technologies. The company’s recent acquisition of 30 percent shares of Sweden-based image processing company Univrses is considered as one of the important steps of its growth strategy in this field.
