The compact crossover Opel Frontera has won the Golden Wheel award in North Macedonia. As part of the Golden Wheel awards, experts select finalists in each category, but the final decision is made by the public through online voting. The Opel Frontera beat its competitors in its segment and earned the title of Most Desirable Family Car.The Frontera Hybrid features a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine delivering 74 kW (100 hp), specifically developed for hybrid vehicles. It works alongside a 15.6 kW (21 hp) electric motor and an electrified six-speed dual-clutch transmission, resulting in significantly lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to conventional engine models. The Frontera Hybrid is also offered with a 1.2-liter turbo engine rated at 100 kW (136 hp).Alternatively, buyers can choose the fully electric Frontera Electric, which produces 83 kW (113 hp) and comes with a 44 kWh battery (with 43 kWh usable capacity), offering a range of up to 308 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle. A long-range version of the Frontera Electric can travel up to 400 kilometers (WLTP) on a single charge.
