The decision to stop A few days after the presentation of the new Mercedes W17, the Brackley team has announced an important change within its team: John Owen, Director of Car Design, has in fact decided to take a break from F1, and will leave his position by the end of the year only after having ensured the transition to his successor. Present at Mercedes since 2007, Owen has played a key role in the team’s recent history, contributing significantly to the nine Constructors’ successes achieved by the Anglo-German manufacturer.
