Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake Came on the Stage: Attracts Attention with Its Range Exceeding 760 Kilometers
Mercedes-Benz strengthens its electric mobility attack with the new CLA Shooting Brake. The new CLA Shooting Brake, the brand’s first fully electric station wagon model, stands out with both its long range and sporty design. The model, which is offered for sale with a hybrid engine option as well as an electric version, is positioned as an assertive alternative in the premium station wagon segment.
CLA Shooting Brake, one of the important parts of the more than 40 new model launches that Mercedes-Benz plans to launch by the end of 2027, plays a critical role in the brand’s electric transformation strategy. In the first driving experiences, the rear-wheel drive CLA 250+ version with 85 kWh battery especially attracted attention. The model can offer a range of over 760 kilometers on a single charge.
Combining Coupé and Station Wagon Design
While maintaining the design lines of the four-door CLA, the new CLA Shooting Brake brings together the character of a station wagon and a coupé with a more fluid roof structure. The model, which maintains a length of approximately 4.7 meters, is among the most efficient cars in its segment with an aerodynamic drag coefficient of 0.21 Cd.
The LED lighting group, which draws attention at the rear, strengthens the modern appearance and reflects Mercedes’ new design approach.
More Luggage Space and Spacious Interior
Offering a more useful structure compared to the CLA Sedan, Shooting Brake has a luggage volume of 455 liters. When the rear seats are folded down, this space can increase up to 1,290 liters. Electric versions also have a 101-liter front trunk (frunk).
While headroom is increased for rear passengers, the panoramic glass roof gives the interior a more spacious atmosphere. Illuminated star patterns are among the details that support the premium character of the model.
Artificial Intelligence Supported New Generation Cockpit
Mercedes’ new generation MB.OS operating system operates in the interior. While three separate screen options are offered in the driver-oriented cockpit, the system benefits from Google and Microsoft-supported artificial intelligence technologies.
Vehicle owners can purchase various digital features, including driving assistance systems, or activate them for certain periods of time.
272 Horsepower and Range up to 769 Kilometers
The tested CLA 250+ version strikes a successful balance between performance and efficiency with its electric motor producing 272 horsepower. While the model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, its maximum range can be up to 769 kilometers.
The car, which offers an agile driving character in bends thanks to its rear-wheel drive structure, also attracts attention with its advanced driving support systems. Among the systems that reduce the driver’s burden in heavy traffic is Level 2++ autonomous driving technology, which can automatically change lanes and overtake on highways.
Prices Start from 52 Thousand Euros
The entry-level CLA 200 in the electric product range of the new Mercedes CLA Shooting Brake is offered for sale at 52 thousand euros with its 224 horsepower and 58 kWh battery.
The most powerful version of the family, CLA 350 4MATIC, carries a price tag of approximately 63 thousand 700 euros with 354 horsepower and 85 kWh battery pack. The tested CLA 250+ model is positioned at 58 thousand euros.
CLA Shooting Brake, Mercedes-Benz’s first electric station wagon model, is preparing to become an important player in the premium electric car market by combining long range, high technology and large living space.
