Smiles and sensations In the interview given last night to the official Formula 1 channel, Charles Leclerc seemed smiling, even when he underlined that he “had no idea where” his Ferrari was in comparison to the other teams. But the feeling is that the Monegasque driver had found a good feeling with his SF-26 in the first session held in the dry.
This morning Leclerc took to the track for his final stint of the Barcelona Shakedown and completed 79 laps, setting the benchmark time of 1’16.653 on Soft tyres.
A time about two tenths higher than that set by George Russell’s Mercedes on Thursday afternoon. Leclerc’s words Sky Sports UK reported Leclerc’s words at the end of his morning’s work on the track: “This time too it went well. We completed our program, we did everything we wanted to do. We pushed a little harder – and it was nice – to feel the limits of this car a little and to understand it a little better. This Shakedown was positive”, concluded the Monegasque driver.
Leclerc: “Today we pushed a little harder and it went well”
