In 2025, JAECOO became a household name and in turn recorded the fastest growth of any other mainstream automotive brand in the last decade
JAECOO recorded 28,232 new vehicles in 2025, representing a remarkable market impact, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT)*
The JAECOO 7 led the way with 26,048 units sold*, making it the fourth most popular retail car in the UK
JAECOO 7 SHS represented 70% of all JAECOO 7 sales in 2025
The new JAECOO 5 and all-electric JAECOO E5 expand the brand family further, bringing new EV and ICE options to the compact SUV space
Supported by an expanding UK retail network, JAECOO continues to offer UK drivers a compelling combination of quality, value, and modern SUV design
The JAECOO 7 starts from £30,115 OTR**, and the JAECOO 5 from £24,505 OTR**, with all models including the brand’s comprehensive warranty as standard
2026 will see continued growth as JAECOO invests in expanding its UK network, model line-up and aftersales capabilities

London, 8 January 2026 – JAECOO has become the fastest-growing mainstream automotive brand the UK has seen in the last decade. With 28,232 new car registrations in 2025*, verified by today’s data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT)marking a landmark turning point for the adventure-focused marque.
The JAECOO 7 accounted for 26,048 of these registrations*, becoming the fourth most popular retail car in the UK – a remarkable achievement for a brand that launched in January 2025. JAECOO’s other models, including the JAECOO 5 and E5, also resonated strongly with UK drivers, combining distinctive design, advanced technology, and intelligent performance.
With OMODA&JAECOO dealership representation in the UK now standing at 101 sites, JAECOO can confirm that much of its recent growth has been driven by strong demand from private buyers. Retail sales account for 55% of all JAECOO registrations. Analysis of 2025 performance also shows that demand for the JAECOO 7 has been led predominantly by its new-energy Super Hybrid System (SHS) powertrain. In fact, 70% of all JAECOO 7 sales were for the SHS variant, which offers a total driving range of up to 745 miles – 56 miles of which can be driven in EV-only mode – and, unlike many plug-in hybrids, supports rapid charging as well as self-charging capability.
Another core factor behind JAECOO UK’s rapid success has been its customer-focused approach, offering personalised service, robust warranty and aftersales support, and vehicles that deliver both style and cutting-edge technology at competitive price points. As such, 2025 has seen further major milestones for JAECOO. Within the last 12 months, JAECOO was named the top-most searched Chinese car brand on Google and received accolades such as Carwow Brand of the Year, underlining the rapid growth of its visibility and reputation in the UK market.
Gary Lan, CEO of JAECOO UK, said: “Our 2025 results underline the strength of our strategy and the appeal of our products. The JAECOO 7’s performance demonstrates that UK drivers respond to vehicles that combine innovation, design, and practicality. Recognition as the most searched Chinese car brand and Carwow Brand of the Year highlights the growing awareness and trust in JAECOO. In 2026, with the launch of the JAECOO 8 and expanded support network, we will continue to deliver desirable, technology-led vehicles while strengthening confidence and long-term value for our customers.”
Looking ahead, JAECOO UK will expand its presence across the UK, building on a growing network of 101 dealerships. All vehicles come with a 7-year/100,000-mile warranty (whichever comes first) and an 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty (where applicable), ensuring confidence and peace of mind for British drivers.
There are 26,000 JAECOO 7s now on UK roads, and prices start from just £30,115 OTR**, with the JAECOO 7 SHS priced from £35,165 OTR**. JAECOO 5, which launched in Q4 2025, is available to order now from £24,505 OTR**, while the JAECOO E5 starts at £27,505 OTR**, with all models available through the growing OMODA&JAECOO UK retailer network and supported by the company’s comprehensive 7-year/100,000-mile warranty.
