The choice of the English coach Ferrari will no longer have Jock Clear among its ranks. The British coach, who arrived in Maranello in 2014, was most recently in charge of the Ferrari Driver Academy and closely followed Oliver Bearman’s growth. Marc Gené will take up the mantle of Jock Clear. Clear explained why he decided to interrupt his very long and successful career in F1: “24 races a year is a lot. I couldn’t imagine a role in which I wouldn’t be on the track, and as I said 24 races a year is a lot, so I decided to look for a new balance between life and work”, explained Clear when reached by CasinoHawks. “I’ve worked with really very intelligent girls and boys at Ferrari, in their twenties and thirties, who are gaining experience, and I know they can do it – he added – I want to help more and more girls at a young age to approach motorsport in order to have a greater flow of girls entering motorsport”.
