Mercedes-Benz, which increases its sales every year, increased its sales by approximately 10 percent this year compared to the previous year and sold 43 thousand 224 vehicles in 2025.
While automobile sales in the sector increased by 10.62 percent in 2025, Mercedes-Benz grew above the sector by 11 percent and sold 33 thousand 374 automobiles. 2025 was the year in which Mercedes-Benz sold the most automobiles in Türkiye. At the same time, a sales figure similar to 2024 was achieved with the sale of 9 thousand 850 light commercial vehicles.

Mercedes-Benz Automotive Executive Board and Automobile Group Chairman Şükrü Bekdikhan: “The automotive industry did not expect a new record year when starting 2025 due to high interest rates and decreasing credit opportunities. However, the relative suppression of prices with increasing competition along with many different developments during the year caused customers to act faster in their purchasing decisions. Thus, the sector continued to grow in the 4th year with sales of 1 million 368 thousand 400 units. In the record-breaking sector, our sales are approximately 10 percent compared to the previous year.” It increased by 11%, reaching 33 thousand 374. 2025 was the year in which we reached the highest sales figure in Türkiye, exceeding the record-breaking 2016 with 32 thousand 666 units. This result was influenced by the trust we offer in the premium segment, our innovative and diverse product portfolio, our wide range of after-sales services and the continued demand of consumers for premium vehicles despite the fluctuations in the economy and the new tax regulations.”
A period of launches and records for Mercedes-Benz
Stating that 2026 will be the 140th anniversary of the invention of the automobile, Bekdikhan underlined that this milestone is extremely special for Mercedes-Benz as the brand that invented the automobile, and said, “Another importance of 2026, which will be full of brand new models, is that it marks the beginning of a record. We will be the brand with the most models in the premium segment by offering nearly 40 models globally in the next 2 years.” he said.
Stating that 2026 will be the year of launches for Mercedes-Benz, Bekdikhan said that they will introduce the new fully electric GLB and GLC to the Turkish market in the second quarter, after the internal combustion CLA, which went on sale as of January, and said: “The gasoline model of the GLB will also go on sale in the second half. These models will be followed by the highly anticipated fully electric Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé and the Mercedes-AMG GT SUV in 2027. The fully electric C-Class will be launched in the third quarter. “GLA will be in Türkiye in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, in addition to our new models, the facelifted gasoline S-Class and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class will be in Türkiye in the second quarter, the EQS in the third quarter and the internal combustion engine C-Class at the end of the year.” he said.
Stating that while the automobile industry is growing in Türkiye, the light commercial vehicle industry continues to break records by achieving sales of over 250 thousand in the last two years, Mercedes-Benz Light Commercial Vehicles Executive Board Member Tufan Akdeniz stated that the light commercial vehicle market will grow by approximately 10 percent in 2025, reaching 283 thousand 904, and said: “The market followed a strong course in the first six months of 2025, thanks to the “deferred demand” effect experienced in previous years. However, there will be uncertainties for the second half of the year.” “We were aware of it. The Special Consumption Tax regulation that took place during the summer months enabled the stagnant light commercial vehicle market to become more active. The biggest reason for this was that light commercial vehicles were not affected much by the regulation. Thus, both commercial enterprises and those looking for large-volume vehicles turned to light commercial vehicles.” he said.
