Chery Group, one of China’s leading automotive manufacturers, achieved historic results in the fields of sales, exports and new energy vehicles in the first half of 2026. Continuing its global growth without slowing down, the company has begun to reap the rewards of its investments, especially in electric and electrification technologies, with strong sales figures.
The company sold 256 thousand 612 vehicles in June 2026, an increase of 9.8 percent compared to the same period last year. Increasing its exports by 79.7 percent to 191 thousand 62 units in the same period, Chery broke the monthly export record for the fourth consecutive time and became the first Chinese automobile manufacturer to export more than 190 thousand vehicles in a single month.

Chery Group, which delivered a total of 1 million 357 thousand 533 vehicles in the first six months of the year, achieved the highest first half sales performance in its history. The company’s new energy vehicle sales increased by 32.3 percent in the same period, reaching 475 thousand 238 units. In June, new energy vehicle sales grew by 58.7 percent and reached 113 thousand 583. Thus, Chery sold more than 100 thousand new energy vehicles per month for three consecutive months.
Demonstrating a remarkable performance on the export side, Chery achieved 71.5 percent growth on an annual basis by delivering 943 thousand 817 vehicles to world markets in the first six months. This result was recorded as one of the first half export records of the Chinese automotive industry. As of the end of June, the number of global users of the brand reached 19.88 million, while more than 6.78 million of these were users abroad.
Accelerating its electrification strategy, Chery made more than 90 percent of the new models introduced in 2026 vehicles with electric or hybrid technologies. While the QQ3 model has been selling more than 10 thousand units monthly for three months, the iCAR V27 maintains its leadership in the range-extending SUV segment in China.
