New logo for the Japanese giant The Aston Martin-Honda axis inaugurated the partnership in the Italian night: in Tokyo, Japan the Japanese giant presented the 2026 power unit, the RA626H which will equip the cars of Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll, who ardently hope to find in their hands a missile resulting from the genius of Adrian Newey. The Newey-Honda duo has already dominated F1, ‘giving wings’ to Red Bull and Lawrence Stroll hopes that the same will happen under the Aston Martin banner. “For Honda, F1 represents a challenge based on innovation – said HRC number one Toshihiro Mibe – we have developed the new power unit for the 2026 season, the RA626H, with the aim of becoming number 1 in the world. In 2026, F1 will undergo a major change in regulations for both the chassis and the PU. For the PU, the electric power produced by the engine and battery will be increased to approximately three times the current one and will be required the use of advanced sustainable fuel for the engine. In other words, F1 is evolving into a new generation motorsport that addresses the challenges of both electrification and decarbonisation. The cars will carry a new H brand with a refreshed design, adopted by Honda as a new symbol representing its automotive business.
