Hamilton, problems solved? At the end of the Miami Sprint, Lewis Hamilton explained that he had experienced deployment software problems on his Ferrari SF-26, a problem that had heavily penalized him both in Sprint Qualifying and in the quick race on Saturday. The Englishman quantified the inconvenience with a loss of around three tenths per lap. In qualifying, sixth place still had a positive connotation for the seven-time world champion. “The software problem seemed to be solved,” Hamilton underlined to Sky UK, adding: “The car was running much better, so I don’t think we had any power problems. It was the best performance of the whole weekend.” Optimism Hamilton Hamilton left himself with rather positive comments: “We modified the car and I was much more satisfied with it. It seems to me that we have taken a step forward, even if you can’t see it from my result. But I am optimistic for tomorrow”. A note of concern for Lewis Hamilton, however, came from the progress of rival teams – such as McLaren and Red Bull -: “The other teams are doing different things in development and we will have to examine the issue. I know we are pushing hard, but I know there is still a lot to do. I think there is still a lot to get from the package we currently have. Before this weekend we knew we were 4-5 tenths behind on the straights.”
